We believe that the Five Fold Ministry is critical for the Local Church. We all also understand that many churches do not believe in the Five Fold Ministry found in:
 Ephesians 4:11-13

11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors [shepherds] and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Many only believe in the offices of Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher, some even combining Pastor and Teacher. (We address this mindset here.) Many of these same churches do not believe the spiritual gifts of the Spirit found in 1 Cor 12 & 1 Cor 14. (We will address that at a later date.)

Book of Acts Church Without Walls absolutely believes the Five Fold Ministry can be a great asset to the local church. Here are some of the reasons why:

A. There are pastors who have the gift of preaching but are not very good at Bible teachers. A person who operates in the gift of teaching, can be a great asset to the local church. A person who operates in the office of teacher has the ability to teach, expound in a manner far greater than a pastor.

B. Some churches have someone who has the calling of outreach or evangelism. They usually are limited to the local region and many smaller churches do not have evangelists. The office of Evangelist goes beyond the local church and be a great asset to a local church. They can help with evangelistic meetings and provide training on evangelism. They can also help on having city-wide crusades.

C. Most churches do not have anyone in the office of Prophet, in fact there are regions that do not have access to someone in the role of Prophet. Sadly most Christians have no concept of the role of a New Testament Prophet. (We will address that at a later date.) For now we will say if local churches had access to a New Testament, many church scandals could have been avoided and churches going sideways could have been avoided. It is good to have a Prophet over a region.

D. The office of Apostle is misunderstood among many Christians. Normally they are not a church pastor other than a church plant. They oversee a region. They are a great asset to a church that is considering doing a church plant. They are beneficial in working with a Prophet to help oversee a church. Some churches/denominations consider their Denominational President or Conference President being similar to an Apostle, however most of them have no interaction with the local church and are mainly 'paper pushers'.

E. We understand that there have been many abuses within the Five Fold Ministry. Our goal to help address those abuses so that local churches will be more open to the Five Fold Ministry.
