Ephesians 4:11-13
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists the pastors [shepherds] and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Vision of Five Fold Evangelists
Every person can be invited into God’s family. Every person can hear the amazing stories of God’s goodness and transformation. Every person can be encouraged that God is alive today..
Why the Five Fold Evangelist?
The evangelist contribution to the ministry of God is to make the stories of Jesus’ remarkable goodness and transformation famous. Evangelists are the carrier of good news and are partners with Jesus in celebrating people’s transformation. Evangelists stir curiosity and desire to know Jesus and play a significant role inviting people into God’s family.This office/gift can be illustrated by the middle finger because it is the farthest reaching. Evangelists have a unique gifting that is essential to the ministry of God.
Heart of Five Fold Evangelists
It is really important to them to have friends, relationships and a life outside their church circle.
They are able to get other people excited about what They are excited about.
They are highly adaptable and feel comfortable in almost any setting.
They have a heart for people who are far from God.
They make other people feel comfortable when they are around them.
They feel frustrated when church is more inward focused than outward focused.
The things they love, they REALLY love.
They are intentional and strategic before they open their mouth and say something.
They are really convinced that God is really really good.
They believe their life should speak louder than their words.
They can be bold and speak their mind – it sometimes catches people off guard.
They have an appreciation that life is short – They never know what will happen.
They get excited when eyes are upon them.
Role of Five Fold Evangelists
Evangelists are storytellers who are wired to bring the gospel to life through the creative proclamation of God's word and the demonstration of his signs, wonders and miracles to those who believe. They are heralds of the New Covenant who preach the good news to the poor, brokenhearted, demonized, and religious. Wherever true evangelists are functioning the lost are supernaturally attracted like a magnet to Jesus Christ and many will be saved, healed, and delivered.
Why Does the Body of Christ Need Five Fold Evangelist?
WITHOUT EVANGELISTS:
People don’t celebrate the transformations of God.
People are welcome to come to God’s family but are never invited.
People don’t know how to tell and share their own story.
People’s faith are stale and without enthusiasm.
Gift vs Office/Ministry
There are individuals who love to share the Gospel but not have the calling, anointing to operate in the office/ministry of Evangelism. A Five Fold evangelist will be called by God and ordained by a Five Fold minister to fulfill the office/ministry of a Five Fold Evangelist. They have the ability to 'spot' those who have an evangelistic heart and able to train these individuals to be effective in sharing the Gospel.
Necessity of Five Fold Office/Ministry
