Prophets
Ephesians 4:11-13
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors [shepherds] and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Vision of Five Fold Prophets
Every person can know God’s heart for them. Every person can be able to hear God’s voice for themselves.
Why the Five Fold Prophet?
Their contribution to the ministry of God is to reveal the manifest heart of God for His people. They are instrumental in people hearing God’s heart for the very first time and showing them how they too can hear God’s voice as a birthright of their salvation. This office or gift can be illustrated best by the index finger – pointing, speaking strongly and authoritatively and often in rebuke to the church. They have a unique gifting that is essential to the ministry of God.
Heart of Five Fold Prophet
They cannot standby while there is injustice.
They are compelled to help the needy, broken and oppressed.
They are easily distracted by what seems like random thoughts, ideas, words and pictures.
They occasionally have vivid dreams.
They have a strong feeling for whether something is from God or not.
They believe life is about choices and they can choose their destiny.
They frequently get gut feelings and are usually right about their opinions.
They can feel, understand and relate to God’s heart for people when they pray for them.
They are particularly encouraging and discerning.
When they read, God puts situations, people and specific examples into their heart.
They can distinguish between what is from God and what is not from God.
Role of Five Fold Prophet
Prophets speak the heart of God to the church and are usually called to speak to the church as a whole.
Prophets are feelers and burden bearers who are wired to promote loyalty and faithfulness to God at all costs.
They are guardians of the New Covenant who proclaim His Holiness and call for corresponding purity and devotion to Jesus Christ.
The true prophetic is passionately concerned with equipping a people to live a simple and authentic lifestyle of justice, holiness, and righteousness.
Guide the church.
Why Does the Body of Christ Need Five Fold Prophets?
WITHOUT PROPHETS:
People will not hear what is on the heart of God for the local church and the Church.
People within the local church and the Church may lose intimacy with God.
People will attribute the works of Satan to God.
Gift vs Office/Ministry
This office is very different from the spirituals or manifestations spoken of in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14. These are not someone simply giving a prophetic utterance (1 Corinthians 14:3), though they may at times, but these are men or women who hold the office of a prophet. Many within the body may be used by God to give a prophetic utterance and not hold the office of a prophet. The office of prophet oversees those operating in the prophetic. Prophets are to judge prophets.
Necessity of Five Fold Office/Ministry
"Jesus Christ gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers and pastors for the equipping, perfecting, mending, perfectly joining together, putting in order, ethical strengthening, completing, fulfilling, of the Saints, for the work of the ministry."

Those who have the calling of being a Five Folf Minister are not self-appointed, they are ordained by one of the Five-Folf offices, normally by an Apostle or Prophet.
