Ephesians 4:11-13
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors [shepherds] and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Vision of Five Fold Teacher
Every person can know God’s truth. Every person can be able to understand the Bible. Every person can know how to apply the truth of God to their life.
Why the Five Fold Teacher?
Their contribution to the ministry of God is to make the truth and knowledge about God accessible to all. They have an anointing for breaking confusion and misinformation. They are strategic in helping people know the truth of God and also how it applies to their own life. This office gift is best illustrated by our little finger. It is able to get into those hard to reach places and dig around. They have a unique gifting that is essential to the ministry of God.
Heart of Five Fold Teacher
They hunger for deeper understanding, learning and revelation regarding Scripture.
They will search and research what they don’t understand.
They are interested in topics some other people find very boring.
They can see situations clearly and provide clear answers.
They never stop learning.
They thrive on the opportunity to share biblical truth.
Role of Five Fold Teacher
Teachers are lovers of truth who are wired to produce authentic disciples of Jesus Christ.
Teachers are able to explain complex ideas and concepts in ways people can understand.
Teachers are keepers of the new covenant that invites men and women to know God for themselves.
Teachers instruct the body of Christ in a line upon line, precept upon precept fashion and are passionate about sound doctrine and how the word of God is handled.
Ground the sheep.
Why Does the Body of Christ Need Five Fold Teachers?
WITHOUT TEACHERS:
Lies are never challenged.
People lives will not embody the scriptures.
People don’t understand why they should change.
People are bored with the bible.
People are not curious and hungry to read the Bible.
Gift vs Office/Ministry
There are individuals who have the spiritual gift to teach the Scriptures in a profound way but not have the calling to operate in the office/ministry of Teaching. A Five Fold teacher will be called by God and ordained by a Five Fold minister to fulfill the office/ministry of a Five Fold Teacher. They have the ability to raise up and mentor those who have the gift if teaching. They are overseers.
Necessity of Five Fold Office/Ministry
